By admin Oct 13, 2015
The Wyoming Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary is pleased to announce that founding member and volunteer Susie McMurry will speak at the WMC Volunteer Expo on Oct. 20.
Susie McMurry has been volunteering with Wyoming Medical Center for more than 30 years, beginning with the formation of the Gentle Hands Program with Gail Kennah and Ellie Ellbogen. The program offers non-medical support to patients and families, providing everything from plane tickets to clothes to neck pillows that make hospital beds more comfortable. Susie has been assisting patients and families ever since.
If you'd like to learn more about how your time and talent can improve lives and help us protect the health of our community, please join us at the volunteer expo. We have volunteering opportunities for people 16 and older. You can meet our current volunteers, tour the hospital and see first-hand what it means to become a Wyoming Medical Center Volunteer.
Susie will speak at 1 p.m. on the benefits of volunteering and her experiences at Wyoming Medical Center.
